Sam had an unrelated umbilical cord blood transplant of stem cells to halt the progression of Metachromatic Leukodystrophy.
Though not as much as it used to be, Sam still enjoys playing Webkinz on the computer as well as Jumpstart World, Noggin and PBSKids.
